I'm a full-time college sophomore pursuing my B.A. in English with hopes of one day working as an editor. Cats, musicals, documentaries about cults/disasters/tragedies, and curse words are just a few of my favorite things. Also, check out our blog or I WILL FIND YOU.

Embers & Echoes (Wildefire)

Embers and Echoes - Karsten Knight One thing I like about Karsten Knight: the world he has cooked up is beyond fascinating. I could read about Ash and her adventures all day! That is, if Knight had the ability to make me continue to give a damn about his characters and where they're going.I was hooked for the first two hundred pages or so, but after that, my interest waned. I thought this was going to be a DNF due to lack of interest until I forced myself to reach the last seventy-five pages or so. I had the exact same problem with Wildefire and as much as I want to see how all this turns out, I don't want to read yet another book I have to force myself through. Maybe I'll read Afterglow. Maybe I won't. We'll see.And really, what kind of idiot takes someone who has been constantly drugged for days, puts them on a train by themselves, and just leaves them like that? I'll tell you: Ashline Wilde.
